PTB Series Constant Current LED Drivers Feature Programmable Output, Tri-Mode Dimming™, and Industry’s Smallest Form Factor to Save Energy, Time, and Money.

LOS ANGELES – August 4, 2020 – ERP Power LLC (“ERP”), a leading provider of small, smart, and connected LED drivers and light engines for the lighting industry, today announced the world’s smallest programmable output drivers with industry-leading power efficiency and broad dimmer compatibility.  The new PTB Series drivers are scheduled to be available from ERP Power distributors in Q3 2020 from Arrow, DigiKey, Future, Mouser, and WPG in the Americas region.

“ERP continues to redefine what’s possible for performance, quality, and cost in LED lighting fixtures,” said Michael Archer, CEO of ERP Power.  “The new PTB Series is less than half the size of our competitors with broader dimmer compatibility, up to 5% better efficiency, and offers programmable outputs that enable supply chain savings for our customers.  Lighting fixture designers need not compromise the creative style or capabilities of their luminaires.”

The patent-pending power electronics design of the PTB Series drivers will be available in 30W and 15W models which fit directly inside a standard electrical junction box, so as to not require any space within the LED lighting fixture.  ERP’s unique Tri-Mode Dimming™ supports 0-10V, ELV, and TRIAC dimmers.

The PTB Series drivers help LED lighting fixture manufacturers meet the technical requirements of ENERGY STAR®, California Title 24, IEEE 1789, and the DesignLights Consortium (DLC) specifications.  The next-generation PTB Series driver is less than half the size of similar capacity drivers in the industry, and high efficiency to reduce electricity consumption.  The new ERP drivers are designed in California and built to last with a 5-year limited warranty.

Programmable Output

Customers can deploy a single driver across multiple lighting fixtures if the power output is programmable. This lowers inventory costs and provides LED supplier flexibility in the customer’s supply chain while enabling the adjustment of current and lumen output for specific lighting project installation requirements.  The ERP PTB Series next-generation driver output is high efficiency and programmable in steps of 1 mA while maintaining efficiency of 90% with power factor greater than 0.9 and THD less than 20%.

Tri-Mode Dimming

ERP Power’s unique Tri-Mode Dimming™ feature provides high-performance dimming compatibility for TRIAC, ELV, and 0-10 V, resulting in dimming compatibility scores improving from 90+% to 98+%, dramatically reducing any flicker, shimmer, and ripple issues.  The new PTB Series delivers programmable 1% TRIAC dimming granularity with startup and sustained operation at 1% to ensure architects and lighting designers have precise scene control.  The PTB’s 0-10V dimming profiles are also fully programmable to deliver further flexibility to fixture designers.  Five pre-defined 0-10V dimming profile configurations are provided.  A user-defined, fully programmable 0-10V dimming profile can also be created.
